The Department of Mathematics is one of the four departments under the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Delhi and has 14 faculty members. The faculty members conduct research in the following areas: Algebraic Topology, Coding Theory, Information Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Combinatorics, Applied Algebra, Group Rings, Combinatorial Group Theory, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Computational Fluid Mechanics, Functional Analysis and Operator Theory, Harmonic Analysis and Operator Algebras, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Ring Theory, Numerical Analysis, and Fluid Dynamics.
