Information/Instructions for Outstation Participants

Transport: The accommodation for most participants (other than plenary and invited speakers) is arranged in two Guest houses located in the North Campus which is around 16 km away from the South Campus (the venue of Workshop). The accommodation list will be updated on the website soon. We have arranged for a bus to commute from the guest houses to the venue and back.

On April 2, the bus will start from the International Guest House sharp at 8:15 a.m. and from the Old Guest House at 8:30 a.m., sharp.
On April 3 and April 4, the bus will start from the International Guest House, at 8:30 a.m. sharp and from the Old Guest House, at 8:45 a.m., sharp. Please make sure to have your breakfast on time and leave your rooms timely to avoid any delay.
Those who are leaving on 4th evening, will have to leave directly from the workshop venue. Therefore, please checkout from the guest house that morning itself and carry your baggage with you to the venue.

Travel: If you are reaching on 1st April, then please take a pre-paid taxi for the North Campus (Guest house) from the Railway Station/Airport. Alternatively, you may hire an auto from the Station. If you are reaching on 2nd April, then please take a pre-paid taxi directly for the South Campus (Near Sri Venkateshwara College) from the Railway Station/Airport.
In case you are arriving late in the evening and would like a pick-up from the railway station/airport, please let us know as soon as possible.

Please note that you need to produce the fare-receipt for the reimbursement of the fare. We shall not be able to reimburse for private taxi.

Food: There shall be food coupons for Lunch in the Registration Kit provided to you for all the three days. Please produce those coupons at the food counter at the Campus Canteen. Breakfast and Dinner (only vegetarian) will be available in the guest houses from 7:30 to 9:00.

Travel Reimbursment: All reimbursements for rail or air fare, as applicable, will be paid directly into your bank account, as per norms. To facilitate this, please bring your bank details (Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, MICR Code) including a cancelled cheque leaf with you. Formalities for reimbursement will be dealt with by staff deputed for this purpose in the Workshop Office: Room 202, Arts Faculty Building, First Floor.

Lectures: All the lectures will be held in the Seminar room nos. 115 and 117, Arts Faculty, South Campus.

Registration: If you haven’t registered already on arrival at the guest house, two registration desks will be available near Seminar Room 117 on April 2 from 9:00 to 10:00. If you arrive after this time you can complete the registration during tea time from 10:40 to 11:10.

Certificates: Certificates can be collected from the venue only during or after the Valedictory function. Please note that the certificates will be given to only those participants who meet the minimum requirement of 75% attendance in the workshop.

ATM: There is a State Bank of India and ICICI Bank ATM located near the guest houses.

Internet connectivity: Wi-fi is available near the conference venue. Very limited internet facilities will also be available at the Workshop Office.
